ABOUT THE MOVIE (YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2)
Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action-comedy film directed by Sangeeth Sivan. A sequel to the 2011 hit Yamla Pagla Deewana, it is the second instalment in the franchise. The film stars Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Kristina Akheeva (in her debut), Neha Sharma, and supporting actors including Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Johnny Lever, and Sucheta Khanna. The story was written by Lynda Deol, and the film was released on 7 June 2013.
Plot
The film reunites the Dhillon family trio: the sly father Dharam, his mischievous younger son Gajodhar, and his honest, strong elder son Paramveer.
Dharam and Gajodhar run a fake spiritual guru scam in Banaras, targeting Sir Yograj Khanna, a wealthy NRI. Believing him to be extremely rich, they plan for Gajodhar to woo his daughter Suman and marry into the family. Their scheme takes them to London, where they unexpectedly meet Paramveer, now a successful loan recovery agent. Param is disappointed to discover that his family is still engaged in fraudulent activities.
Khanna hires Param as his manager after Param protects his nightclub from local gangster Dude Armstrong. Meanwhile, Param falls in love with Khanna’s younger daughter Reet, who works in an art gallery.
When Dharam and Gajodhar learn that Suman is adopted and that Reet is the actual heir, they shift their scam toward her. Dharam invents a fake artist persona named “Q Oberoi” for Gajodhar, using paintings secretly made by Einstein, an intelligent orangutan owned by their landlord. Reet becomes fascinated by Q’s supposed artistic genius.
A series of misunderstandings complicates the romances. Reet is hurt when she believes Param is involved with another woman, a setup created by Dharam. Heartbroken, she agrees to marry the fake Q. Meanwhile, Gajodhar genuinely falls in love with Suman, who loves him despite his lies.
The truth emerges when Dude Armstrong kidnaps the entire group. Param rescues everyone, and the family confesses their deceptions. Ultimately, both love stories resolve happily: Param and Reet reunite, and Gajodhar and Suman accept their genuine feelings for each other.
