PLOT / STORY OF WELCOME BACK

The story continues after Welcome.

Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) is now a powerful don, but he wants to become a sharif businessman. Majnu Bhai (Anil Kapoor) is still his best friend who dreams of becoming a painter and loves horses.

Uday's sister has died and his new sister-in-law Ranjana (Shruti Haasan) lives with them. Uday wants Ranjana to marry a good, decent guy.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ghungroo's (Paresh Rawal) son Ajay (John Abraham) is a wanted criminal in Dubai who runs away to India. He meets Ranjana and falls in love.

Wanted Bhai (Naseeruddin Shah) and his son Honey (Shiney Ahuja) also want Ranjana to marry Honey to take over Uday's empire.

How Ajay proves he is not a criminal, how Uday and Majnu try to make him sharif, and how the funny confusion ends in a desert palace climax is the story. The film has many comedy scenes between Majnu and his painting and John Abraham's action.

FINAL VERDICT

If you loved Welcome (2007), Welcome Back is a one-time watch for Uday-Majnu comedy. John Abraham's entry and Anil Kapoor-Nana Patekar jodi saves the film. Comedy is less than first part but still entertaining for family.
